An Empowering Partnership in the Research Triangle

21 November, 2019

Certification testing fees will soon be one less obstacle for community college students in North Carolina to complete their degrees.

Bohler is helping empower approximately 60 Geomatics students at Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech) to earn their Geomatics certifications by contributing to their exam fees. By providing the necessary funds, students are able to focus on preparing for the exam, rather than worry about paying for it.

Through Bohler’s contribution, we’re also supporting Wake Tech’s efforts to strengthen the community. The 70,000-student college has multiple programs in place that are catalyzing growth throughout the Research Triangle area. Partnering with the Chamber of Commerce, they are training students to meet niche talent needs for businesses, which continues to attract more businesses to the region.

Bohler has also been involved as judges in Wake Tech’s annual Rube Goldberg competition for the last several years, where introductory engineering student teams compete to create a machine to perform a simple task with multiple steps.
