Fourth Annual Fundraiser Tournament Raises $55,000 for New Jersey Charities

13 May, 2019

For the fourth year in a row, Bohler Engineering joined forces with Hollister Construction to host our annual Charity Cornhole Tournament in Chester, NJ, which raised $55,000 for two New Jersey charities.

What began as a small effort to give back to the community in 2016 by Bohler and Hollister has since grown into a signature event with hundreds of participants and multiple sponsors. Additional sponsors for this year’s event included Minno & Wasko, JLL, Wiss, Connell Foley, Avison Young, BFI, Sax LLP, Cook Maran, Whitestone Associates, and the Outside Band.

This year, the event included a popular “tricky tray” raffle with gift baskets that included Yankees tickets, Mets tickets, lottery scratchers, gift cards, and even a tailgating kit. The Outside Band generously provided live music.

Industry professionals from across the state brought their throwing arms as their best teams pitched in for charity in the cornhole bracket tournament. Competition was heavy, and Bohler’s own Grayson Murray and James Thaon fought their way to the finals before being edged out of first place by a team from Hollister.

The event was so strongly supported, it surpassed this year’s fundraising goal of $50,000. The charities helped were Daytop New Jersey, an addiction and mental health treatment facility for adolescents and young adults, and Wynona’s House, an organization dedicated to helping child victims of abuse and violence.
