Fundraiser Tournament Cornhole for a Cause Returns to New Jersey

07 October, 2021

After a pandemic-driven pause in 2020, Bohler’s New Jersey team again hosted our annual Cornhole for a Cause fundraiser tournament in Chester, NJ. The event raised nearly $45,000 for charity, including $25,000 for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for Breast Cancer Research. It also provided an opportunity for the real estate development community to come to together for some casual, in-person networking.

Sponsors for this year’s event included Vanguard Energy Partners, Stone Creek Construction, WISS, Whitestone Associates, Michael Graves, Cofone Consulting Group, EcolSciences, Titan Engineers, Connell Foley, JRM Construction Management, Roux, and TSS Sweeping.

The event’s theme this year was Oktoberfest. A local brewery provided beer, along with soft pretzels, stuffed cabbage and sausage sandwiches from Boxcar Bar & Grill. Bohler Principal Dave Wisotsky took the stage to provide live music, joined by sponsor Whitestone Associates Vice President Larry Keller.

The tournament’s popular raffle returned as well, with gift baskets that included a day at the spa curtesy of Massage Envy, New Jersey lottery ticket scratch offs, New York Mets tickets, chain restaurant gift cards, and AMC theater tickets.

Industry professionals gathered teams from across the state to face off for charity in the cornhole bracket tournament. The dynamic duo Brendan Trotta and Matt Hanrahan from Phelps Construction Group were the overall winners.
