Revitalized Plaza Unveiled in Time for The Holidays

The plaza at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley recently got a facelift, just in time for the holiday shopping season. In an effort to modernize the 10-year-old center and create an experiential space, Bohler developed the design and construction detailing for a multi-use flex space that included a new fountain plaza for gathering, outdoor activities, and concerts. The design added pergolas, modern charging stations for mobile devices, a synthetic turf area for activities, a stage and upgraded lighting. The fountain space adjacent to the plaza was also refurbished as part of the project.

Bohler’s Lehigh Valley team provided local civil engineering support for the project, including stormwater management, grading, permitting, and construction administration services. They spent time on site for construction observation, and were able to respond quickly to contractor questions, keeping the project on its very tight schedule. Our Lighting and Electrical Engineering teams were also brought on board to handle lighting and electrical design.

Bohler’s ability to cohesively collaborate between four departments enabled the client to achieve their aggressive timeline, and open the plaza in time for holiday shoppers to enjoy.
