WARREN, NJ, December 16, 2013- In the spirit of the holidays, Bohler Engineering continued its annual tradition of charitable donations across all branches. At the firm’s holiday gala in East Hanover, NJ, guests brought unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation. Regionally in Bohler’s New York Metro office, staff partnered with the Family and Children’s Association on Long Island to adopt a local family in need.

As in years past, the US Marine Corps was on hand at the Bohler Engineering gala to assist with the Toys for Tots drive. Members of the Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines collected over 400 toys from employees that will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children.

At Bohler’s Hauppauge branch, employees bought and wrapped Christmas gifts for a family enrolled in the Family and Children’s Association Family Center. The Family Center provides services to families raising a child aged five to eighteen with a mental health diagnosis. In addition to their many hardships over the years, Bohler’s 2013 family was displaced during Hurricane Sandy. Bohler staff sought to lift the family’s spirits by donating presents to unwrap on Christmas morning.

“Our employees are passionate about their jobs, but also about giving back to our communities,” said Brian Zappala, Chief Operating Officer. “At Bohler Engineering, we strive to create a culture of generosity. We’re honored to continue our tradition of donating to these charitable organizations this holiday season.”
