Gov. Tom Wolf reconfirmed $3.5 million state grant for a redevelopment project that would overhaul an iconic and long-vacant North Philadelphia building last week, upholding a promise of his predecessor, former Gov. Tom Corbett.

The funding is part of the Redevelopment Assistance Capital program, which will go towards developer Eric Blumentfeld’s estimated $44 million in renovations costs, NewsworksWHYY reported.
