Bohler’s Pittsburgh office closed out 2017 by introducing a group of future STEM leaders to civil engineering and the land development industry. Michael Takacs, Branch Manager, and Bohler’s Pittsburgh team welcomed students from Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic high school to the office.
After touring Bohler’s space and seeing our team at work, Michael engaged students in a conversation about civil engineering, including how elements of our team’s site design contribute to project sustainability. He talked about one project in particular, which was especially relevant to his audience — the students’ school.
Michael had previously managed civil engineering design for projects at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School. The connection between his work and the facility that the students spend the majority of their time enabled them to better understand how a career in engineering applies to everyday life.
