A new medical office building broke ground this week in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Mountainside Medical Center, part of Hackensack Meridian Health, will provide a variety of outpatient medical services upon completion. Bohler provided civil engineering, surveying, permitting, and landscape architecture services for the three-story, 45,000 SF project.

Adding complexity to the project, the site spans the border of two towns, Glen Ridge and Montclair. Bohler successfully orchestrated approvals from both municipalities.

The site is historically significant to Mountainside Hospital, as it housed the Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing for 120 years before it closed in 2015. The facility will bring new life to the site by supporting the growing healthcare network in the community and bringing in nearly 50 physicians to complement the hospital across the street.
