Jen Bass Awarded Baltimore County Chapter Associate of the Year by MBIA

20 November, 2019

Having just given birth to her third child nine days prior didn’t keep Jen Bass from attending the Maryland Business Industry Association’s (MBIA) Awards of Excellence event to receive the Associate of the Year award for the Baltimore County chapter.

As a Program Manager in the Towson office, Jen has excelled at building relationships with the local jurisdictions and understanding how they operate. So, when the Baltimore County Permits, Approvals, and Inspections department announced a change in leadership, Jen saw an opportunity to help the new Director improve the permitting and approval process. Jen took the initiative to set up a series of meetings with the new Director and others from MBIA. In the meetings, the group provided feedback on issues with the system, answered questions, and provided guidance on how to move forward. Thanks in part to Jen’s involvement, the group not only shared their ideas, but turned them into action.

The MBIA Associate of the Year Award recognizes Jen’s natural tenacity and ability to distinguish herself in her work, in her involvement with MBIA, and in the commercial real estate industry. Her positive presence and willingness to help combined with her approachability and depth of knowledge makes Jen a go-to for not only Bohler’s team, but for many in the county and the industry in general.

Jen still has plenty of ambitions yet to be fulfilled with MBIA and Baltimore County. She plans to use this award to build on her success and further partner with them to meet their goals.
