Bohler Joins Panel Discussions for Tomorrow’s AEC Leaders

Bohler teammates are furthering our firm’s commitment to inspiring and empowering women in engineering and the AEC industry. Two of our Women in Engineering program leaders, Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager Leslie Fanger in Southborough, MA and Design Engineer Nora Ahmed in Warren, NJ, welcomed opportunities to speak to and mentor young women in the field.

Leslie Fanger joined other female leaders at Gilbane and Hinckley Allen on a panel to inspire women in the AEC industry. The discussion, entitled “Rising Through the Ranks in a Male-Dominated Industry,” covered topics including career growth, mentorship, and industry challenges.

Nora Ahmed graciously accepted the invitation to participate in a mentoring night at her alma mater, the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The event, hosted by the school’s Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter, offered female students the opportunity to ask questions to industry professionals, like Nora, about what it’s like to be a woman in the industry. Nora provided helpful advice and guidance to young women pursuing the field.

Within Bohler, our Women in Engineering program is on a mission to recruit, retain, and develop the industry’s best. Read more about the program’s Leadership Council activity here.
