The Green Knight Industrial Park in Lehigh Valley recently celebrated the opening of its first building, marking a significant milestone in revitalizing a former tire dump site along Route 33 in Northampton County.

The Green Knight Economic Development Corp. (GKEDC) has transformed the site, now featuring a 49,000 SF building leased by Trillion Sources for light assembly and logistics. Developer JVI LLC plans to construct two additional buildings, measuring 192,000 and 52,000 square feet, with a total capacity for six buildings on the 55-acre site.

With no existing infrastructure, Bohler’s Lehigh Valley team designed water main extensions throughout the property and beneath Route 33, as well as sewer lines, a pump station and force main, gas main extensions, and power connections. The team also coordinated the subdivision of the site into 10 lots ranging from 1.5 to 13 acres and secured municipal approvals from three different townships.

“We’re excited to do more buildings in this area,” said Jim Vozar, President of JVI. “We are committed to collaborating with local agencies in private-public partnerships to drive economic development in the regions we operate. Through the allocation of recreation funds and traffic impact fees, we not only contribute to our community but also prioritize bringing projects together and planning for future endeavors.”
