Knollwood Development Corp. has submitted plans to build a 395-unit apartment complex in Largo, Maryland, located in Prince George’s County, on a 9-acre site originally approved for office development nearly 20 years ago. The previous office project, approved in 2006, never materialized due to lack of market demand and expired in 2021.

The new residential proposal includes a five-story apartment building with mostly one- and two-bedroom units, along with some studios and three-bedrooms, wrapped around a six-level parking garage and interior courtyard with a swimming pool.

Bohler, which originally designed the layout for the larger Largo Park office campus, is again supporting the project — this time providing surveying, site civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture services. Wire Gill LLP is serving as the land use attorney.

The site is part of the 93-acre Largo Park and sits less than a mile from the Largo Metro station, an area experiencing a wave of multifamily development. Follow the project here.
