ArtsQuest’s Banana Factory is being reimagined as the ArtsQuest Creative Factory powered by PPL, set to open in late 2026. Backed by the PPL Foundation as naming sponsor, this $32 million project is a major milestone in the Re-Imagine! That Capital Campaign and will transform the gateway to Bethlehem’s SouthSide Arts District.

The new 5-story, 78,500-square-foot facility will offer expanded visual, performing, and educational programming for all ages. Key features include a 125-seat black box comedy theater, artist studios, sensory-friendly spaces, modern galleries, hospitality areas, a 3-D Makerspace, and a Communications Pathway program in partnership with the Bethlehem Area School District.

As the site civil engineering consultant working with MKSD Architects, Bohler is playing a key role in the site’s transformation — supporting grading, stormwater management, permitting, and site layout. These efforts ensure the project meets regulatory requirements and aligns with South Bethlehem’s long-term vision for revitalization.

Once completed, the facility is expected to create more than 600 full-time equivalent jobs, drive $46 million in construction-related impact, and deliver $6.67 million in annual economic activity — solidifying its role as a dynamic hub for creativity, community, and growth.
