Peron Development is moving forward with the second phase of the historic Silk Mill redevelopment in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Through its single-use entity, PD Silk Mill, LP, the firm will transform a 3-acre site at 238 W. Goepp Street with the addition of an 80-unit, five-story multifamily residential building.

The new construction will complement the existing 61-unit apartment community housed in the adjacent historic Silk Mill, which was redeveloped separately and is under different ownership. Originally launched in 2009, the project changed hands and stalled for several years until Peron acquired the site in 2016. Development efforts resumed in 2023, marking a new chapter in the revitalization of the area.

To support the renewed vision, Peron brought in Bohler to replace the previous civil engineer and lead a reimagined site design aligned with current market needs and engineering standards. Collaborating with USA Architects, Bohler provided comprehensive site engineering and permitting services for the new building, including plans for parking, curbing, lighting, landscaping, and stormwater management.

Designed to reflect the architectural character of the original Silk Mill, the new structure blends historic charm with modern amenities, further enhancing Bethlehem’s evolving residential landscape.
