Bohler is proud to announce that three projects the firm supported have been recognized with 2026 Awards of Excellence from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Northern New Jersey. The awards celebrate outstanding achievement, leadership, and innovation across the commercial real estate industry, highlighting projects that are shaping the future of communities throughout the region.
“These awards reflect the power of collaboration and thoughtful planning in delivering projects that truly make an impact,” said Keith Cahill, Regional Manager. “We’re honored to work alongside visionary clients and partners to bring these transformative developments to life.”
Located in East Orange, New Jersey, The Crossings at Brick Church Station represents a bold vision for transit-oriented development. Designed to support sustainable, car-free living, the project introduces mixed-income housing alongside access to fresh food, retail, and dining amenities — all centered around public transportation.
As part of East Orange’s designation as an NJDOT “Transit Village,” the development plays a key role in the city’s broader revitalization efforts. Bohler’s landscape architecture team designed the central promenade and rooftop amenity space, while the engineering team provided site design and permitting for the overall development.
Avalon Princeton at Harrison exemplifies the success of strategic collaboration between public and private stakeholders. The redevelopment of the Princeton Shopping Center has transformed an underutilized retail property into a walkable, mixed-use village that integrates residential, retail, and community spaces.
Led by Edens and AvalonBay, the project includes a 200-unit multifamily building with 40 affordable units, contributing to Princeton’s broader housing goals. Enhancements to pedestrian connectivity, open space, and transit access have further strengthened the site’s role as a community hub.
Bohler provided site civil engineering design, permitting, planning, and landscape architecture.
Glenwood Green in Old Bridge, New Jersey, has been recognized as a premier retail destination serving the surrounding communities. Anchored by major tenants and complemented by a curated mix of local and national retailers, restaurants, and fitness offerings, the center delivers a dynamic and convenient shopping experience.
The development’s pedestrian-friendly design, high-quality architecture, and placemaking amenities create an inviting environment for visitors to shop, dine, and gather. Bohler provided site civil engineering design, permitting, planning, landscape and lighting design.
The ULI Northern New Jersey Awards of Excellence honor projects that exemplify best practices in land use, design, and development. More than a celebration, the event brings together leaders and innovators committed to advancing the region’s built environment.
Bohler is honored to contribute to projects that not only meet today’s market demands but also create lasting value for communities across New Jersey.
