Bohler’s Cornhole for a Cause Raises More than $80,000

19 May, 2022

More than 200 AEC industry professionals gathered in Chester, NJ for Bohler New Jersey’s annual Cornhole for a Cause fundraiser tournament. The event raised more than $80,000 for Autism Speaks, an organization that supports advocacy and research for autism – nearly doubling the event’s fundraising in prior years.

In its sixth year, Cornhole for a Cause brings together the state’s real estate and development community for a fun afternoon of networking and a bracket-style tournament, while raising money for those who need it most. Each year, Bohler leads the event – gathering sponsors, organizing teams, and choosing a charity. As in previous years, the charity selected is one in which employees are very committed and involved. The dynamic duo Mickey Pirrello and Glenn Miller of Raymond James were the overall winners of the tournament.

The number of sponsors for this year’s event also broke records. The extensive list included Vanguard Energy Partners, Alston Construction, Titan Engineers, Wiss, Control Point Associates, Stone Creek Construction Group, Saxum Real Estate, and Sills Cummis & Gross, PC. Bar sponsors included EcolSciences, Inc., GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., Cushman & Wakefield, Giordano Halleran & Ciesla, Whitestone Associates, 2020 Acquisitions, Cofone Consulting, ENCON, Crow Holdings, and Sterling Equities. The tournament’s raffle was sponsored by Roux, PSG, Inglesino Webster Wyciskala Taylor, Atlantic Traffic & Design Engineering, Callli Law, A&E Construction, Dolan & Dean, Vision General Construction, Chelsea Senior Living, Forte Real Estate Development, Bisgaier Hoff, K&L Gates, Terracon, Premier, and Marywood Wayne, LLC.

The popular raffle gift baskets included tickets to a New York Mets game, lottery scratch-off tickets, a day at the spa courtesy of Massage Envy, gifts cards, and movie tickets.

The event’s theme was Cinco de Mayo. Boxcar Bar & Grill served tacos and frozen margaritas to celebrate. Bohler Principal Dave Wisotsky took the stage to provide live music, joined by sponsor Whitestone Associates Vice President Larry Keller.
