Bohler is proud to support the continued expansion of Neighborhood 91, the nation’s first end-to-end additive manufacturing campus, providing integrated planning, site civil engineering design, stormwater management design, NPDES permitting, and landscape architecture services for the campus’s newest development.
Regional leaders recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 108,000-square-foot multi-tenant manufacturing facility, marking the next phase of growth for the nearly 200-acre campus adjacent to Pittsburgh International Airport. The $16 million facility will provide space for additional advanced manufacturing companies while reinforcing the region’s position as a national hub for innovation, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain collaboration.
Working alongside the project team, Bohler helped advance the project from early planning through permitting and construction readiness. The firm’s integrated team provided site civil engineering, stormwater management design, NPDES permitting, landscape architecture, and planning services to deliver the infrastructure needed to support the campus’s continued growth.
Developed by the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC) in partnership with the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA), Neighborhood 91 was intentionally designed to bring every stage of the additive manufacturing supply chain together in one location. The campus combines manufacturing, testing, logistics, and distribution within a single ecosystem, enabling companies to reduce production timelines, improve efficiency, and accelerate innovation.
The new building will occupy approximately 5.8 acres and is expected to attract additional advanced manufacturing companies to a campus whose first multi-tenant building is already fully occupied. Current tenants include leaders in additive manufacturing, materials, testing, and research, creating a collaborative environment that continues to drive investment throughout the region.
Located adjacent to Pittsburgh International Airport with direct access to rail, highways, and waterways, Neighborhood 91 has become a model for next-generation industrial development. Its unique co-location strategy allows manufacturers to streamline operations by bringing suppliers, production, testing, and distribution together in a single destination.
As demand for advanced manufacturing continues to grow across industries including aerospace, defense, healthcare, and consumer products, the expansion positions Neighborhood 91 to accommodate additional companies while strengthening southwestern Pennsylvania’s role in the future of American manufacturing.
