Clay Bomberger Named Fairfax County Designated Plans Examiner

Bohler is proud to announce that Clay Bomberger, PE has been named a Designated Plans Examiner (DPE) in Fairfax County, Virginia.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted on and approved Clay’s DPE status. As a DPE, Clay is entitled to participate in an expedited review process for qualifying site-related plans for his clients. This achievement concludes the end of a year-long learning and development journey with the Engineers and Surveyors Institute (ESI).

According to Fairfax County, the DPE certification verifies that the holder is competent in the design, preparation, and submission of land development plans, allowing them to participate in an expedited process that non-certified practitioners do not have access to. As an ESI member firm, all of Bohler’s Fairfax site plans are reviewed by a DPE who provides peer review services and ensures that the plan meets Fairfax County’s minimum code requirements.
