Designing a State-of-the-Art Student Housing Community

14 March, 2024

Landmark Properties, a leading developer of upscale student housing communities, has announced its expansion into Connecticut with the development of The Standard at Four Corners, located at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Currently under construction, the 890-bed project is set to redefine the student living experience, offering a luxurious and technologically advanced environment for students at UConn.

Landmark partnered with Manulife Investment Management to develop the project and engaged Dwell Architects and Bohler to manage the design. Spearheaded by Landmark Construction, construction of the development is scheduled to be completed in August 2025, just in time for the fall semester.

The Standard at Four Corners will feature a variety of floor plans, ranging from studio apartments to spacious three-bedroom suites. Each fully furnished apartment will feature a gourmet-style kitchen with ample cabinet space, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Hardwood-style flooring adds an extra touch of sophistication to these contemporary living spaces.

Residents will have access to 24-hour study lounges, a fitness center, and a computer lab to support them in their academic pursuits.

Beyond academic amenities, The Standard at Four Corners will feature resort-style attractions, such as a gaming lounge, a heated pool, a hot tub, and fire pits. These recreational spaces, designed by Bohler’s planning and landscape architecture team, will foster a sense of community and provide students with a well-rounded living experience.
