First Office-to-Residential Conversion Proposed for Arlington

19 July, 2024

Carr Properties is proposing to redevelop an aging office building, bringing a new eight-story multifamily building with ground-floor retail to the heart of Clarendon.

The new building at 3033 Wilson Boulevard would include 300+ residential units over nearly 7,000 square feet of retail space. The 344-space underground parking garage will remain and provide direct access to the redevelopment just one block from the Clarendon Metro station.

The existing 164,000-square-foot building, also known as Clarendon Square, was constructed in 1987 and renovated in 2018. The proposed redevelopment of the outdated office building would “generate increased tax revenue and revitalize a marquee corner in Clarendon,” per an application filing.

Bohler’s MidAtlantic team is providing professional land surveying, arborist services, and site civil engineering for site plans submitted under Administrative Regulation 4.1 of the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance.
