In recent years, West Hartford, Connecticut, has seen an increase in the number of multifamily housing developments proposed. Leaders have repeatedly supported these initiatives, voting to allow developers to invest in the city by bringing new apartments.

Today, ten active housing developments will add more than 1,300 units. Bohler’s West Hartford office is providing site civil engineering, permitting, and landscape architecture design services for an 83-unit project at 75 LaSalle and Center Park Place.

Developer The Arapahoe Group is converting underutilized parking to create two new multifamily buildings. One will house 58 condos with ownership potential, while the other will feature 25 apartments, four of which will be price-restricted workforce units. The smaller building will also feature approximately 3,500 SF of retail and restaurant space, two public pedestrian walkways, and a landscaped public gathering space. The development will include both surface parking and an underground parking garage.
