The Ivy at Chatham Receives ULI Excellence Award

08 February, 2024

The ULI Northern New Jersey Excellence Awards Committee recently selected The Ivy at Chatham to receive the 2024 ULI NNJ Award for Suburban Development.

A panel of multidisciplinary real estate research and education professionals recognized the 245-unit transit-oriented development in Chatham, New Jersey, for promoting sustainable development and strengthening the community.

“As we reflect on this year’s recipients of the Urban Land Institute Northern New Jersey’s Excellence Awards, it’s clear that our area remains at the forefront of transformative real estate investment,” said Mara Winokur, executive director of Urban Land Institute Northern New Jersey.

BNE Real Estate chose a strategic location along the River Road gateway, contributing to the region’s revitalization. Due to limited land availability, redeveloping underutilized sites is critical to creating healthy, livable neighborhoods, improving transit, and diversifying the borough’s housing supply.

The community will benefit from enhanced access, increased tax revenue, affordable housing options, transit-oriented residential development, and the remediation of contaminated properties. Bohler’s planning and landscape architecture team ensured that the redevelopment plan incorporated sustainability measures and architectural standards, resulting in a long-term asset for Chatham Borough.
