The Intern Experience at Bohler

How can I apply for an internship? All opportunities for interns are posted online. Click here to see open positions. In September we post our summer internships for the following year and hire on a rolling basis.

What are the steps in the interview process? After applying for a position, the recruiting team will be in touch with next steps in 1-2 weeks. You’ll have a phone screen, and if selected, you’ll interview with your potential local office (typically 1-2 interviews). Your recruiter will guide you through each step.

What will I actually do? After two weeks of training, you’ll work on real projects. You’ll also network with Bohler leaders, participate in weekly speaker series, and attend professional development workshops.

Where will I work? Our internships are in-person. You’ll spend most of your time in the office (about 90%), with occasional site visits and off-site meetings.

Who will I work with? You’ll join a design team with both Professional Engineers and peers who will mentor you throughout your internship.

When can I intern? While most opportunities are during summer, we also offer fall and spring internships. Start dates vary yearly, and you can work with your team on an end date that fits your schedule.

Is it paid? Absolutely – we offer competitive pay for all internships.

Do interns come back and work for Bohler post – grad? We love to have our interns come back to work for us. The majority of our interns receive offers to work with us again and 82% of our interns who received offers came back to work as an intern or full-time employee. If you are interested in setting yourself up for long-term success, Bohler is a great place to do so.

I chose a structural, transportation or environmental concentration – how does that fit with Bohler? At Bohler, we provide site civil engineering for land development projects. The land development design process involves multiple disciplines of civil engineering, including transportation, water resources, environmental, geotechnical, and construction. Our project teams are made up of civil engineers with diverse backgrounds from top schools across the country.

Do you offer summer housing? No – we do not offer summer housing.

Do you offer sponsorship for international students? No – we do not offer sponsorship.
