HRGCC State of the Port

The Hampton Roads Global Commerce Council and The Port of Virginia are bringing together industry leaders and regional stakeholders for a dynamic, multi-event experience celebrating maritime commerce, economic growth, and connection across Hampton Roads.

Kicking off on April 22, the River Cruise offers attendees a unique perspective of the Elizabeth River and the operations of The Port of Virginia, combining scenic views with onboard dining and networking aboard a three-level yacht. That evening, the Taste of Virginia Reception continues the experience at the historic Cavalier Hotel, where guests can enjoy local cuisine, cocktails, and meaningful conversations in an elevated setting.

On April 23, the highly anticipated State of the Port Luncheon takes center stage, featuring insights from the port’s CEO and Executive Director on the year behind and the road ahead. This flagship event draws leaders from across the region and beyond, highlighting key trends, future investments, and honoring the recipient of the 2026 Commerce Builder Award. The programming concludes with the Sea & Be Seen Networking Event, an outdoor gathering at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront that provides a relaxed environment for attendees to connect and reflect.
