Skyland Town Center is a 20 acre mixed-use development including multi-family residential and retail elements in Washington, DC. Included in the development are 342,000 SF of retail space, 468 residential units, three above ground parking garages and two levels of structured parking. This project is anticipated to be LEED certified. Bohler’s design included a water line replacement of over 1,300 LF and the relocation of a fiber optic hub which services approximately one-third of DC customers. The project also required the District to enact eminent domain for several parcels. In addition, due to the high volume of bus traffic in the neighborhood, Bohler coordinated extensively with WMATA to determine the most appropriate bus routes in and out of the development.
