Hoerbiger’s to Move into Delray’s West Atlantic Business Plaza

Hoerbiger Corp. of America is planning to relocate its North American headquarters and manufacturing facility from Pompano Beach to a new site in West Delray Beach. The facility would be part of the second phase of the West Atlantic Business Plaza, a 23-acre industrial park near State Road 7 in Delray Beach, Florida.

Bohler’s Boca Raton office played a key role in the development of the West Atlantic Business Plaza, contributing to site civil engineering design, permitting, and overseeing construction. One of the unique challenges faced during the design process was preparing plans for the driveway connection to Atlantic Avenue, which was undergoing a road widening and redesign with FDOT. Bohler’s team worked closely to align the design with the future road layout.

Additionally, the site is located adjacent to a canal, which is being re-routed as part of the project. Coordinating the road widening and canal re-routing required careful planning and close communication between all involved parties.

Developers West Atlantic Business Plaza LLC—led by Butters and Bruce Young—originally envisioned two warehouses for the second phase but now propose a single 200,000-square-foot building. This facility would include manufacturing space and 30,000 square feet of office space, supporting 24/7 operations and creating approximately 400 high-paying jobs.

The manufacturing plant will produce components for the natural gas, hydrogen, and clean energy industries, with operations designed to minimize traffic impact compared to a distribution center. If approved by the Palm Beach County Zoning Board, the project could break ground in June 2025.
