Belmont Park Arena Gets the Green Light for Construction

Another step forward as the $1.3 billion Belmont Park Arena project recently received the green light to begin construction.

The Empire State Development (ESD) Board unanimously approved an Environmental Impact Statement for the development, prepared by the project team, which includes Bohler. A collaborative effort by all consultants, the report examined construction and community impacts, including the 2,500 horses that live at Belmont Park full-time. With this approval, the stadium is on track to open for the Islanders 2021-2022 season.
