Mixed-Use Redevelopment Station at Willow Grove Breaks Ground

23 May, 2018

Willow Grove, Pennsylvania is getting its first new luxury multifamily development in over 40 years. The Station at Willow Grove recently broke ground, which upon completion in 2019, will have residential, office, and retail space. The new building will support the ongoing revitalization of the Willow Grove community.

The five-story mixed-use development will have 275 upscale apartment units and 25,000 SF of commercial space, including retail on the ground floor and an 18,000 SF medical office. Outside there will be two landscaped courtyards, a resort-style pool, and a dog park. Bohler is providing civil engineering, permitting, and landscape architecture services for the project.

Five separate properties were combined for the six-acre site. Developer J.G. Petrucci purchased the five properties to make room for the project, each from a different owner. Bohler prepared the Lot Consolidation Plans to combine the properties into a single site.

The Station at Willow Grove will ease a luxury housing drought in the community, which has lasted 40 years. It will create jobs and complement the rapidly-growing area, which has recently brought in an influx of new businesses and residents. The site’s proximity to the Willow Grove Train Station and the Pennsylvania Turnpike positions it as a cornerstone in the neighborhood, anchoring the development of the whole community.
