Wolf Trap Meadow Commons Receives NAIOP Award of Excellence

13 December, 2024

Fairfax County’s Wolf Trap Meadow Commons has been honored with the prestigious NAIOP Northern Virginia Award of Excellence in the Capital Improvement Public category.

Submitted by L.F. Jennings, the project highlights a collaborative effort that reimagined a 53-year-old concessions area into a modern, multipurpose space serving nearly half a million annual visitors.

The $15 million, three-story Meadow Commons was brought to life through the visionary design of Gensler and the critical contributions of Bohler’s Herndon, Virginia, team. Bohler’s site civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture expertise helped refine the schematic design through an iterative process, aligning the project’s functionality and aesthetics with the foundation’s goals.

Held on November 21, 2024, at Capital One Hall in Tysons, the NAIOP Northern Virginia Awards Ceremony celebrated achievements across the commercial, industrial, and mixed-use real estate community. Meadow Commons stood out for its innovative approach to enhancing visitor experience while modernizing service capabilities.
