Piazza Pod Park to Open In Northern Liberties This Month

06 May, 2019

Intended to recharge a struggling mixed-use complex in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia, Piazza Pod Park is bringing food and drink vendors, art installations, and seating for 300 people. The developer, Post Brothers, has been revitalizing the area since 2006, and routinely engages Bohler for essential civil engineering design and permitting services. For this project, Bohler secured Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) approvals.

The 35,000 SF space is a redevelopment of an existing parking lot. In addition to a variety of eateries set up in large shipping containers and operating like food trucks, the park will feature an enclosed dining “pod,” direct access to public transportation, and a 33-foot robot statue named BEBOT, a piece from last year’s Burning Man art festival.

Pod Park is expected to open early this month. Read more about the project here.
