Bohler Designs New Jersey’s First New Public Golf Course in a Decade

03 October, 2023

Thursday, September 28 marked the soft opening of New Jersey’s first new public golf course in a decade.

A result of a $35 million public-private partnership, Old Bridge Golf Club at Rose-Lambertson, nicknamed “The Rose,” features a par-71, 18-hole golf course, an illuminated 30-bay driving range, and a high-end miniature golf course. Additional amenities include a 6,000 SF clubhouse with a pro shop, concession area, cart barn, and restrooms, along with a 5,000 SF maintenance building and 110 parking spaces.

The course is situated on approximately 218 acres of township-owned land spanning both the north and south sides of Lambertson Road in Old Bridge Township. The routing – or layout and connection between the holes – of the course, which was designed by local golf architect Stephen Kay, was heavily influenced by the site’s wetlands and topography.

To support developer 2020 Acquisitions, Bohler’s Warren, NJ team provided site civil engineering services and construction administration to keep the project moving forward.
