During the holiday months, Bohler Engineering continued its long-standing commitment to giving back to the communities in which we work. Across the East Coast, Bohler donated money, personal time and gifts to help those in need. Highlights of the 2014 holiday season include:
Toys for Tots
At Bohler’s annual employee holiday gala, the generous staff donated over 1,200 toys to Toys for Tots. The United States Marine Corps was on hand once again to collect the toys, which will be donated to children throughout Northern New Jersey. This marked Bohler’s largest toys donation to date.
Walkabout: Family & Children’s Association
Bohler’s New York Metro offices continued their annual tradition of supporting the Family & Children’s Association’s Walkabout program in Freeport, NY, which houses and assists adolescents who are homeless and in crisis. Bohler sponsored a program participant, and associates donated holiday gifts to unwrap on Christmas morning.
In the Mid-Atlantic region, Bohler proudly sponsored Gingertown-Washington, DC, a competition in which design teams create an entire town out of gingerbread. Employees from Bohler’s Northern VA and Washington, DC offices participated in the event. The final creations were donated to various hospitals, healthcare facilities and community support organizations throughout the DC Metro area to spread a message of joy and hope during the holidays.
